When we wander a new place like rookies in the new, we always look for local sublimes. Like the best coffee in town, an awesome view behind a fense or a local bakery rich of history. All the stuff only locals know or know how to appreciate. So, to start off the LOCALS CHOICE SERIES we asked some of the locals in our home town The Hague about their favorite hang outs and local sublimes.

LOCAL SUBLIME – HOMETOWN

“By the second time you come here, they’ve already remembered your name”
Well, that indeed ís quite a level of service. To not feel like a number when you’re out for drinks or bites is pretty rare these days.

Koos selected HOMETOWN as his local sublime in The Hague.  It’s a new coffeebar that only opened it’s doors since last April. “I started coming here every week since 2 months now. It’s a very relaxed place. Not only for hipsters, but a place for everyone” he says. “By the second time you come here, they’ve already remembered your name, I appreciate that very much!”

“They make delicious coffees. And what I really love as well is that they also like to explain the process of making good coffee”.
Koos likes to drink the Chemex slow coffee –  “It is served in a beautiful carafe; and by the way, their ‘Millionaire Shortbread‘ is the best cake of the neighbourhood”.
One more thing though… Don’t forget to look up for their amazing copper-coloured ceiling! Without a doubt the most beautiful ceiling in town.
Oh… ánd they serve Vedett beer now!
