HOW TO TRAVEL THE WORLD WITH A WATCH

When you are traveling through different timezones, you probably have to deal with a jetlag. Besides using toothpicks to keep your eyes open, there are a few more human options you should consider to outsmart a jetlag. Try the tips below and you will be ready to explore and wander in no time!

In times of smartphones, tablets and laptops, who needs a watch to tell time? While traveling it can be a lifesaver to be able to tell time ‘hands free’. Other items get stuffed away in your hand luggage, but your watch is always near. Besides… Nothing is more elegant than having a sneak peak at your wrist to tell time.

WEAR A WATCH AND OUTSMART A JETLAG

Reschedule your sleeping pattern a few days before take off
By doing this you will slowly reset your internal clock and the jetlag won’t kick in as much as if you won’t change your schedule. If you are traveling east, start getting up and going to sleep half an hour earlier. When you’re traveling west start getting up and going to sleep half an hour later than you are used to.

Adjust your watch to new timezone
As soon as you are on board, adjust your watch to the new timezone. Let’s get the synching started!

Stay hydrated
Plane rides can be super dehydrating and this can worsen jet lag. Pee before take-off and have 2 glasses of water (NO baileys/ whiskeys/ wine/ beer…etc!) every hour.

Exercise
We’re talking mini-plane-walks here! You don’t want to be that annoying person that wiggles through the plane the entire flight… But stretch your legs and go for a walk through the aisle every now and then.

Daylight please
Once you have arrived at your destination, spend as much time outside as possible. The exposure to sunlight will help your brain adjust to the new time zone.
